MS Dhoni is all set for another IPL season as he joins Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) training camp ahead of IPL 2025. The former Indian captain has been actively preparing with his teammates as CSK fine-tunes its strategies before the tournament begins.
On Sunday, March 2, CSK players took a break from their intense training to celebrate the 34th birthday of new recruit Rahul Tripathi. Dhoni, along with captain Ruturaj Gaikwad, Vijay Shankar, and others, joined the celebration. CSK shared glimpses of the occasion on social media, showing the players enjoying the moment together.
CSK bought Rahul Tripathi in the IPL 2025 mega auction after he represented Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) from 2022 to 2024. The experienced batter aims to play a crucial role in CSK’s campaign this season.
Meanwhile, CSK retained Dhoni as an “uncapped” player for IPL 2025. The franchise also kept Ravindra Jadeja, Shivam Dube, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Matheesha Pathirana.
The much-anticipated IPL 2025 season will kick off on March 22, featuring defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) taking on Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in Kolkata. CSK will begin their campaign on March 23, facing arch-rivals Mumbai Indians at Chepauk. Fans are eager to see Dhoni lead CSK once again as they chase their sixth IPL title.
