Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), the defending IPL champions, have unveiled their new jersey for the 2025 season. The jersey features three stars, symbolizing the franchise’s three IPL title wins. KKR revealed the new design through a social media video, showcasing the team’s rich history in the tournament.
Several KKR players, including Venkatesh Iyer, Rinku Singh, Ramandeep Singh, and Vaibhav Arora, were seen sporting the stylish new outfit. In addition to the three stars, a golden badge on the arm signifies KKR’s status as the reigning IPL champions.
KKR’s IPL 2025 Campaign Begins on March 22
KKR will kick off their title defense in the opening match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at Eden Gardens. Last season, KKR defeated RCB in both encounters and will aim for a similar result this year. Their next fixture will be an away match against Rajasthan Royals in Guwahati on March 26.
Who Will Captain KKR?
With Shreyas Iyer no longer part of the squad, KKR has several potential captaincy candidates but hasn’t announced a leader yet. Reports suggest Venkatesh Iyer and Ajinkya Rahane are the frontrunners. Rahane, who has IPL captaincy experience and currently leads Mumbai in domestic cricket, is a strong contender. With the season fast approaching, KKR is expected to reveal their captain soon.
