Pakistan cricket continues to deliver surprises, with another shocking development following the PSL draft. Ihsanullah, known for his blistering pace of 145-155 km/h, announced his retirement from the Pakistan Super League after being overlooked in Monday’s draft.

In an interview, the frustrated pacer expressed his disappointment and vowed never to return to the PSL. Once the league’s fastest bowler, injuries derailed Ihsanullah’s career, and no franchise picked him despite his impressive domestic performances. “Not a single franchise contacted me,” he revealed.
Determined to prove his critics wrong, Ihsanullah declared he would focus on his domestic career. “People say I’m a 130-135 km/h bowler now, but I’ll show them my pace. In one and a half months, I’ll be bowling at 150-160 km/h, even better than my previous self,” he added.
The pacer clarified that his decision wasn’t driven by emotion but by the harsh realities of the cricketing world. “Franchise cricket is over for me. I completely boycott the PSL. My goal is to represent Pakistan by excelling in domestic cricket, not through franchise leagues,” he stated.
Meanwhile, PSL franchises bolstered their squads during the draft, securing international stars like David Warner, Kane Williamson, Daryl Mitchell, and Rassie van der Dussen. The upcoming season promises to showcase top-tier global talent, but Ihsanullah’s absence leaves a void in the league’s fast-bowling arsenal.
This surprising turn of events highlights the challenges faced by players balancing domestic, franchise, and international cricket. For Ihsanullah, the focus shifts to reclaiming his spot in Pakistan’s national setup, determined to make a stronger comeback.
