Muhammad Mokaev Dominates First Fight After UFC Exit with Quick Submission Victory at BRAVE CF 91

Muhammad Mokaev, once a rising star in the UFC, proved his elite status in his first fight since parting ways with the promotion, securing a dominant victory at BRAVE CF 91 on Friday. The event, held at Khalifa Sports City Arena in Isa Town, Bahrain, saw Mokaev (13-0) make quick work of short-notice replacement Joevincent So (10-6), submitting him in under two minutes.

The 24-year-old fighter, who has maintained an unbeaten record in both his professional and amateur careers (13-0, 23-0), showcased his skill and dominance, swiftly earning the submission victory. Mokaev’s flawless record reflects his dominance in the cage, and this victory only added to his reputation.

Mokaev’s UFC tenure spanned from March 2022 to July 2024, during which he went a perfect 7-0 in the promotion. However, the UFC decided to part ways with him in a rare move, with CEO Dana White citing behind-the-scenes issues involving Mokaev and UFC staff, though he did not reveal specifics.

Since his UFC exit, Mokaev has expressed hopes of rejoining the promotion, though the UFC has not shown renewed interest. Despite this setback, Mokaev’s quick and dominant performance at BRAVE CF 91 served as a statement, reaffirming his status as a top-tier talent in mixed martial arts.
