Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen will miss the Turkish Super Lig match against Gaziantep FK on Tuesday evening. The club confirmed this in a statement on their website on Monday. Alongside Osimhen, Ismail Jakobs and Roland Sallai will also be absent for the game at RAMS Park.
The statement clarified that the club signed these players after the transfer deadline, making them ineligible to participate in the match due to registration issues. The game was initially scheduled for the third match day but got postponed, leaving Osimhen, Jakobs, and Sallai unregistered at that time.
This marks a setback for Osimhen, who made his debut for Galatasaray last weekend against Çaykur Rizespor. The 25-year-old forward will now have to wait for his next opportunity to play for the team.
Next weekend, Osimhen will face his first major test in the Süper Lig. Galatasaray will take on Fenerbahçe at Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium.
