Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, often dubbed India’s most influential power couple, have chosen to keep their personal lives private. With two children now, they have been spending more time in London since the birth of their second child, Aakay Kohli.
Kohli, 35, played a crucial role for Team India in the 2024 T20 World Cup final. Following his outstanding performance, he was felicitated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BCCI. Immediately after, Kohli flew to London to spend time with his wife and children, Vamika and Aakay.
Kohli is expected to miss India’s upcoming ODI series against Sri Lanka in August. Recently, he was spotted in London with Anushka and their infant son. A video of the trio, where Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are seen buying flowers, has gone viral on social media. However, it remains unclear if the video indeed features Kohli and his family.
On the professional front, meanwhile, Kohli is set to return to the Indian team for the home Test series against Bangladesh in September. Meanwhile, the BCCI has not yet announced India’s squad for the upcoming tour. The Sri Lanka series will be India’s first outing under Gautam Gambhir’s coaching. For the ODIs, Rohit Sharma is likely to lead the team. The T20I captaincy could be between Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya.
