India secured their place in the T20 World Cup final after a convincing 68-run victory over England in the second semi-final on Thursday, June 27. The Men in Blue will now face South Africa in a highly anticipated showdown at the Kensington Oval in Barbados on June 29.

Ahead of the final, reports surfaced that India opted to cancel their training session in Barbados to allow their players crucial rest time, considering the early start of the final on Saturday. According to the Hindustan Times, ICC sources mentioned that the team arrived in Barbados in the early hours of Friday, fatigued from the travel.
“The team has cancelled their training session,” confirmed the ICC.
India’s journey to Barbados was swift after their match against England in Guyana, as they immediately boarded a flight for the finals venue. With only 29 hours until the final begins, preparations are constrained for the players.
Videos circulating online showed the Indian team arriving at the Barbados airport, reflecting the buzz surrounding their arrival for the crucial match.
However, India isn’t alone in facing logistical challenges. South Africa also encountered delays after a small plane crash disrupted operations at the Barbados Airport. This incident left the Proteas team, along with ICC officials and umpires, stranded at the Port of Spain airport for approximately six hours.
As both teams navigate these unexpected hurdles, anticipation mounts for a thrilling finale to determine the T20 World Cup champions amidst the backdrop of travel disruptions and condensed preparation time.
