Fabio Quartararo: ‘101 Laps, Bike Feeling Much Better’

Yamaha’s private testing curse lifted at Valencia, allowing Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins to complete a full day of testing with their M1s.

Both riders had previously struggled with the heavy feeling of their bikes at Mugello. However, after a “really positive” 101 laps in Spain, Fabio Quartararo expressed his satisfaction on social media, stating, “Bike feeling was much better in Valencia. Let’s bring all we can to Assen 😈.”

Alex Rins also reported a positive experience, sharing a video of his final lap of the test and expressing his appreciation for the team’s efforts: “Last lap of the test (but I could keep working and enjoying like this all day) ✅ Thanks for your effort team! @yamahamotogp.”

Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins will return to official MotoGP action this weekend at the Dutch TT in Assen. Yamaha’s recent victories at Assen include Maverick Viñales in 2 0 1 9 and Fabio Quartararo in 2021. Fabio Quartararo finished third in last year’s Sprint race after Brad Binder received a penalty but crashed out early in the grand prix.

This positive test at Valencia has boosted the team’s confidence as they head to Assen, hoping to build on their past successes.
