New Zealand Cricket unveiled the central contract list for the 2024–25 season, featuring 17 players. Among them, White Ferns’ batter Lauren Down returns to the central contract list after declining last season’s offer due to maternity leave. Down, who has played 28 ODIs and 13 T20Is, is set to join the New Zealand women’s ODI squad touring England later in June 2024, having last represented the side in December 2022 against Bangladesh.
The contract period for 2024–25 starts on August 1, with players given until June 17 to accept the contract offer. Additionally, wicketkeeper Polly Inglis earns her maiden central contract following impressive performances for New Zealand A against England A in March.
