While Hamilton aims for an eighth Formula 1 world title with Ferrari, Marc Marquez seeks to secure his seventh MotoGP crown. Although Marquez remains a title contender in 2024, the upcoming season presents a more realistic opportunity for him to reclaim MotoGP supremacy, especially with access to the latest-spec Ducati bike.
Having experienced major career transitions himself, such as his switch from McLaren to Mercedes in 2014, Hamilton understands the significance of such moves. For Marc Marquez, leaving Repsol Honda after 11 seasons to join the factory Ducati team represents a pivotal shift.
Hamilton shared his excitement about Marc Marquez’s move, stating, “That’s awesome, he’s incredible. I love MotoGP and am really excited for the future of the sport. I think they’ll learn a lot from what has happened in Formula 1 over the years. But the racing is amazing.”
