Red Bull Advanced Technologies and Oracle Red Bull Racing have announced that they will unveil the RB17 Hypercar at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed, scheduled from July 11-14.
Designed by Chief Technical Officer Adrian Newey and his team, the RB17 aims to merge Formula One performance standards with luxurious features. This debut marks a significant milestone for Red Bull’s venture into hypercar production.
The RB17 will be showcased for the first time on July 12th at the Cathedral Paddock, where it will remain on display throughout the festival weekend. Crafted entirely in-house, the hypercar boasts a two-seat carbon fibre monocoque chassis. A semi-stressed mid-mounted V10 engine, and a carbon fibre gearbox driving the rear wheels.
With a top speed exceeding 350 kph, the RB17 promises exhilarating performance, with only 50 units set for production.
In tandem with the hypercar’s launch, Red Bull plans to orchestrate a grand celebration, commemorating its 20-year presence in Formula One. The festival will feature a display of race cars spanning the team’s history, culminating in an impressive line-up. Selected vehicles will partake in the iconic Goodwood hill climb, accompanied by decorated drivers.
