Zimbabwe Cricket has unveiled its squad for the upcoming five-match T20I series against Bangladesh, set to commence on May 3. Sikandar Raza will continue to lead the side, aiming to put in solid performances and secure victories against the hosts.

The series will kick off with the first three matches taking place in Chattogram, followed by the final two games scheduled in Dhaka. Although Zimbabwe couldn’t secure a spot in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024, this series presents an opportunity for both teams to fine-tune their preparations ahead of the tournament.
Zimbabwe’s squad sees the return of Tadiwanashe Marumani and Faraz Akram, with Johnathan Campbell, son of former skipper Alistair Campbell, also making an exciting debut. Stuart Matsikenyeri, a former cricketer, will take charge as the interim coach in the absence of a head coach.
The rest of the squad remains unchanged from the team that toured Sri Lanka in January 2024. Players like Clive Madande and Brian Bennett Java have retained their spots and are expected to play crucial roles in the series against Bangladesh.
Although facing Bangladesh poses a significant challenge, Zimbabwe will draw confidence from their recent series against Sri Lanka, where they managed to level the series with a win in one match. Despite ultimately losing the series, Zimbabwe displayed resilience and determination, traits they will look to carry into the upcoming contests against Bangladesh.
Bangladesh, meanwhile, will be keen to bounce back from their recent series loss against Sri Lanka, where they faced defeats in two out of three matches. With areas to improve upon, Bangladesh will be motivated to perform better against Zimbabwe.
The squad for Zimbabwe includes:
