KL Rahul, renowned for his elegant stroke play and consistency in batting, showcased his brilliance once again in the 34th match of IPL 2024. Despite not meeting his usual standards in the tournament thus far, Rahul rediscovered his form with a dazzling display of shots against Deepak Chahar of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
In the third over of Lucknow Super Giants’ (LSG) innings, Chahar delivered a shortish ball outside off stump. Although not excessively fast, Rahul capitalized on the opportunity, standing tall and effortlessly dispatching the ball over long-on for a magnificent KL Rahul Six off Deepak Chahar – IPL 2024.
The shot set the tone for LSG’s innings, leaving CSK skipper MS Dhoni Reaction – KL Rahul Batting visibly concerned as Rahul and Quinton de Kock propelled their team to a flying start. Earlier, CSK had posted a competitive total of 176 runs in their innings, led by a well-compiled fifty from Ravindra Jadeja, along with valuable contributions from MS Dhoni and Moeen Ali.
However, CSK found themselves in need of wickets as LSG’s batting duo scored 84 runs in the first nine overs without losing any wickets, putting CSK under pressure to break the partnership and regain control of the match.
