Despite a disappointing loss against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the opening match of IPL 2024, the star trio of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) – Faf du Plessis, Virat Kohli, and Glenn Maxwell – managed to spread some cheer among their fans with their off-field antics.
The renowned RCB trio of Faf du Plessis, Virat Kohli, and Glenn Maxwell, known for their on-field partnership and strong bond, didn’t let a recent IPL 2024 loss dampen their spirits. They were spotted having a blast during a promotional shoot with BoAt, one of RCB’s major sponsors.
A light-hearted video from the shoot, featuring du Plessis, Kohli, and Maxwell showcasing their playful and humorous sides, went viral on social media, particularly among RCB fans. This cheerful interaction provided a much-needed mood boost for fans after the team’s defeat against CSK.
The viral clip offered a glimpse into the positive team spirit within RCB despite the setback in their opening match. It’s important to note that in the match against CSK, all three batsmen faced challenges. Kohli’s 21 runs off 20 balls and du Plessis’ dismissal after a promising start of 35 runs left fans wanting more. Maxwell even endured a rare first-ball duck. Despite a valiant effort from other batsmen like Anuj Rawat and Dinesh Karthik, RCB could only manage a below-par total of 173/6 on a batting-friendly Chepauk surface, which CSK chased down comfortably in the second innings.
