Adrian Newey’s Potential Departure from Red Bull: Separating Fact from Fiction

In the midst of the ongoing saga involving Christian Horner and Red Bull Racing, a surprising twist has emerged – the possibility of Adrian Newey parting ways with the team.

Yes, you read that correctly. Not Horner, the longstanding figure guiding the team, nor Helmut Marko, the influential consultant, or even Max Verstappen, the star driver seemingly on course for his fourth championship. No, the focus is on Adrian Newey.

Red Bull

Earlier this year, Newey expressed regret over not having worked with Ferrari, despite an approach made by the Italian manufacturer in 2014 regarding a road car project. However, Red Bull managed to retain Newey’s services by offering him the opportunity to work on their own road car.

Speculation suggested that moving Newey to the Hypercar project could aid Red Bull in adhering to the budget cap while also removing him from the current turmoil surrounding the team.

However, recent developments have confirmed that Newey remains committed to Red Bull, albeit aligning more closely with Marko and Verstappen rather than Horner’s camp.

Losing Newey would undoubtedly be a significant blow for Red Bull, given his immense contributions to the team’s success. His departure would be nothing short of madness, unless drastic measures were taken to ensure his continued involvement.
