Former UFC heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos is throwing his support behind Francis Ngannou as he prepares to face Anthony Joshua in a boxing match. Despite seeing Joshua as the favorite, dos Santos believes in Ngannou’s knockout power and hopes for a stunning victory or knockout.
Dos Santos, who briefly trained with Joshua in the past, warns the former boxing champion to be prepared for Ngannou’s unparalleled knockout power. With Ngannou’s ability to surprise opponents with his strength, dos Santos acknowledges Joshua’s status as the favorite but remains firmly on Team Francis Ngannou.

Recently crowned the Gamebred Bareknuckle MMA heavyweight champion, dos Santos is content with his current fighting home but still eyes opportunities in boxing. He speculates that success in boxing might lure Ngannou away from MMA, considering the simpler training regimen and potentially higher earnings.
However, dos Santos highlights the rising MMA talent Renan Ferreira, the 2023 PFL heavyweight champion, as a formidable opponent for Ngannou. He describes Ferreira as extremely skilled and compares him to Ngannou, emphasizing Ferreira’s agility and fighting prowess.
Dos Santos suggests that while Ngannou possesses incredible knockout power, Ferreira’s technical skills and agility could pose a challenge. Despite Ngannou’s dominance, dos Santos believes that Ferreira’s fighting abilities make him a worthy adversary in the MMA world.
