Speaking ahead of Brighton’s Europa League encounter, De Zerbi expressed his happiness with his present situation, stating, “I do what makes me happy, and right now I am happy where I am.” However, he acknowledged his eventual return to Italy, albeit without specifying a timeline, indicating, “One day I will return to Italy, but I don’t know when that day will come.”
Reports indicate that De Zerbi’s managerial prowess at Brighton has attracted attention from Manchester United, where he finds himself included in Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s shortlist as a potential replacement for Erik ten Hag.
