German outlet Der Westen did not mince words in their assessment of Sancho’s performance against Hoffenheim, describing it as another disappointment for the winger. Despite hopes from fans that Sancho would rediscover his form and score his first goal, he fell short once again.

The criticism comes after Dortmund’s draw with PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League last 16, where head coach Edin Terzic acknowledged that Sancho needs to improve his performances. Terzic emphasized the importance of getting Sancho back to his best level consistently.
While Terzic expressed confidence in Sancho’s abilities, acknowledging his capability to produce special moments, he also stressed the need for improvement and consistency from the winger.
