However, Formula 1 has now revealed alterations to the weekend format for the 2024 F1 season.

Updates to Technical and Sporting Regulations were also announced:

  • However, there has been an agreement to increase this number to four for the next two seasons.
  • A trial conducted with the DRS activation last year led to adjustments. Initially, drivers could activate the drag reduction system from the second lap after the start or restart. Last year, organizers moved up the activation time to one lap after the start of the sprint race to evaluate its impact on overtaking. With positive results, race organizers will now permit drivers to activate the DRS one lap after the start of the main race or restart following a Safety Car deployment.

Additionally, discussions included various topics related to the 2026 Regulations, particularly focusing on financial and sustainability matters.
