The Hurricanes commenced their innings with Ben McDermott and Matthew Wade. However, early blows from Henry Thornton saw McDermott departing for just 7 runs in the 2nd over. Jamie Overton continued the assault, dismissing Wade at 23 runs in the 3.2nd over.
